Shaw University takes a giant step toward expanding an ambitious research effort by securing a funding award from The National Institutes for Health, National Center for Research Resources for The Extramural Facilities Improvement Program. This program will organize the emerging research venture of Shaw University by constructing a 32,500 square foot behavioral/bio-medical research complex to house The Institute for Health, Social, and Community Research on Shaw University’s main campus. This award, $3,226,718 million will be combined with $1,100,00 million from the Department of Education Title III Discretionary Funds for a total of $4,326,718 million for the construction project.
