Statistical Consulting

 
The Center for Biostatistics is equipped to provide targeted statistical support throughout all phases of the research process. Services provided at each phase are outlined below.

Research Development

  • Assist with the conceptualization of research project ideas
  • Develop and review statistical sections of grant proposals
  • Provide sample size and power calculations for proposals
  • Assist with the development of analysis plans

Research Implementation

  • Assist with the development of data collection instruments
  • Develop databases for primary data collection of research projects
  • Assist with the collection and entry of research data
  • Develop documentation for all research databases
  • Provide double data entry and other data quality control techniques to ensure the integrity of the data
  • Conduct necessary statistical analyses insuring accuracy and precise application of statistical methods

At the completion of the research study

  • Create tables, figures and graphs needed for presenting data
  • Write methods and results sections for manuscripts, analysis reports, and presentations
  • Provide correct interpretation of the analytical results
